The Batchelor Letter

Wow, it’s Sunday already, time for another letter. Marsha’s been in Minnesota a week already, and what a week it was. Two rehearsals, various projects at home, Barbara getting ready to move. For a period when I was hoping to laze around, play video games and watch TV, it’s been surprisingly busy. I think I’ve turned the TV on maybe twice. The cats have adapted to not having anyone here during the day, though Geiger especially is needy when I do sit down. The two week string of rainy days finally petered out and now we have sun. How much rain did we get? I was walking down to the garden and noticed the wheelbarrow was nearly full of water. This weekend though, and for the rest of the week at least it’s going to be hot. My garden is growing fast. Several tomatoes are on the vine. I noticed a couple of flowers on the zucchini. The raspberries are coming in fast, I’ll have to start picking and freezing them soon. We’ve gotten a few snow peas as well. Oh, and the lettuce is doing very well. It’s producing enough for lunches 5 days a week now plus a little left over for dinner too. This weekend is Canada Day, so I get Monday off. I’ll be able to catch up on mowing and such.

So this’ll be a short letter. I’ll make up for the lack of verbiage with more pictures.

I have been asked if it gets lonely being here alone. Well, maybe a little, especially at night. But I've found a way to make it seem like Marsha is still here.
