A Foggy Place

This week we've been wandering around in a fog. Not a figurative fog, literally it has been foggy for days. Visibility has been 50 to 100 meters since last Thursday. Not cold, it's been around 10 degrees C., (50 F) in the afternoons. The fog absorbs sound so it's been quiet. The nights are quiet and amazingly dark. The days are muffled and calm. Actually it's been rather pleasant. Like being on an island away from all the stress, away from the hustle and bustle, the hurly burley of holiday shopping, the political talking heads, the worries of the real world.

Wait a minute. We ARE on an island away from all the stress and hustle and bustle.

Cool.

If you remember last week we told you about the strange plant in the back that is blooming. Today we noticed that one of the rhododendrons in the front is blooming as well.

This is a magical place
