Fog, Fog, and More Fog

We may be getting lots of fog, but the temperatures here have been much nicer than the chill of Minnesota.  We still have some snow left, but it has been melting fast and is one of the reasons for so much fog.  The other reason is that we have not been getting much wind so the fog just 'hangs around'.   Barbara has finally gotten out of her house on her own. She was worried her car would not start up since it had just been sitting there unused for a few weeks, but it started right up and she was glad to be able to get out on her own for a change.

Not much new this week. Doug has been busy with his new job.  He was down in Victoria again on Monday and Tuesday for more training. The rest of the week including some of this weekend was spent in Parksville working on an application problem. The application support person was in Australia so the difference in time and days was making for some problems. However the problem is mostly solved or at least enough for the Spa to have what they needed and he can continue to work on it next week.

The orientation training for H&R Block started this last week so I have been busy working at the SuperStore and going to the training sessions.  It has been keeping me busy.  I need to spend some time reviewing their tax application and the original text book so in between training and work, I'll be at the dining room table studying.

DId I mention that our niece Jocelyn (Margaret's daughter) will be marching in the Inaugural Parade?  What an honour.  Canadians are closely watching the events leading up to Obama's swearing in.  Everyone has so much hope for him and for this change.

So I guess that is it for now.

Take care,

Marsh and Doug
