Boy Are We Tired

I was off Saturday and Sunday and guess what? Yup we spent it working in the house. The laundry room was this weekend's big project. I had cleaned it out earlier this week and was hoping to get the painting done. However I got called in for extra hours due to co-workers being sick or needing family time, so only got the first coat painted. We went out Friday to get the tile and a few other items. We were up early on Saturday to start the work. Doug put in a new light fixture so we had better lighting to work in. Then I painted the final coat of paint. We cleaned the floor and then spent the rest of the day laying the tile.
We took a break Saturday night to have a movie night with Barbara. We watched Ice Age: The Age of the DInosaurs and had a great dinner (ribs for me and pasta for Doug.) Mike stopped by and we chatted for awhile and then home for a good nights rest.
Today we went and bought some shelves, stacked the washer and dryer and started working at getting stuff back in the laundry room. We have more fiddley stuff to do, but in general it is done. YEAH!
Last week we mentioned that the Olympic Torch was on the Island. One of the places it ran through was Coombs. Coombs is know as the Home of the Goats on the Roof. Well one of the places they used to hand off the torch was on the roof of the Old Country Market along with the goats. To make sure the goats were well behaved they sedated them. Man what folks do for the Olympics.

So that is it for this week. Wednesday is a holiday here (Remembrance Day) but both Doug and I are scheduled to work. Hope everyone is doing well. No snow here yet but there is some on Mount Benson.
Marsh and Doug

Laundry room before.

New floor and new light

Washer and dryer stacked

Master en-suite - new flooring (the old stuff was yellowish and ugly), teal paint (the old stuff was yellowish and ugly).

New sink, countertop and faucet. (the faucet matches the knobs and fixtures). The old countertop was pink and the sink was tan.
